He studied in the Barcelona School of Fine Arts.
In 1960 Graduated in Stage Design at the Barcelona Theatre Institute.
Worked with Mestre Cabanes in the Barcelona Lyceum.
Jaume Malaret is a painter of light and colour, of vigorous strokes, of subtle touches, refined and delicate.
From a young age he showed instinctive abilities in his drawings and enjoyed visiting the local painter and art collector Emili Vilà. At the age of 12 he decided to be a painter.
When he was 15, together with his family, he moved to Barcelona where he completed his studies.
He worked with producer of cartoons until, in 1976, he decided to return to his native Sant Feliu and dedicate himself fully to painting

Works in Museums : Banco Sabadell Foundation, La Caixa Foundation, Vila-Casas Foundation and Museum of the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne. |
